A great shop with a good range of stock, and excellent customer service - they really look after you. The staff speak from experience when they give advice, and theyʼre there for you after you have made purchases - for example helping with boot fitting as your boots wear in.

Coach House Flowers

Being a typical male, I seem to leave everything until the last minute. On one typical occasion, I needed 2 gifts for close family. Iʼd been recommended Coach House Flowers for their creativity and quality, and thought Iʼd give them a go - the results were just fantastic. 2 amazing floral displays, which said much more than I ever could. Coach House Flowers

when my brother got married he used the coach house florist and the flowers were fantastic and he recommended them to me for my wedding. I went in nearly 2 years before my wedding date knowing exactly what i wanted they were friendly and enthusiastic, even a year later when i next contacted them they remembered exactly what i wanted and who i was. On my wedding day when they delivered the bouquets to my house i was amazed at how they had got my bouquet exactly how i wanted if not better and the same for the rest of the flowers. all in all what a fantastic team of staff very friendly nothing is too much trouble and amazing flowers you really do get exactly what you ask for. thank you so much joanna hatton (23/8/08)

I have recently got married and approached Eden House of Cakes to make my wedding cake and to also help me deisign it. From the outset they were extremely helpful. Both my partner and I were overjoyed with the appearance of the cake and it also tasted wonderful, as we had asked for a light fruit cake. The Portland Snooker Club

I live in Carlisle and regularly play snooker at the Portland Club. Itʼs an excellent way to relax, and good value for money. The tables are of the highest standard, and there is also a match table for exhibitions which hosts an area of tiered seating for 100 people. In recent years the club has attracted a number of professional players not only for exhibitions, but also for their monthly snooker competition. These include Ronnie OʼSullivan, John Higgins (Current World Champion), Graeme Dott, Ian McCulloch, and most recently the legend of snooker Alex ʼHurricaneʼ Higgins who challenged a number of local players during a exhibition night in May this year.

The Indigo in Denton Holme is truly a rare Gem in Carlisle and a must for any occasion. Atta the owner is very welcoming and is very proud ( quite rightly ) of his Restaurant. The food really is excellent and the customer service is of the highest standard. We have had several gatherings for birthdays and occasions and each time we have been made very welcome. Cakes with candles. Complimentary bottle of wine. Not forgetting the many weekday/end meal. You really wont find better Indian food and service than at the Indigo. P.s try the red chilli sauce. Another hidden gem.You wont regret. PETER
