Fantastic! That is how I would describe the recent Wine Tasting evening that Sam from Scatchards hosted for us. The room was fiiled with our clients and contacts and the feedback that we have had about the quality of the wines and the information given about the wines during the evening by Sam has been fantastic. The best booze shop around! From reasonable tipples to special treats - wine, beer (Belgian fruit varities included), cider and an amazing selection of unusual spirits. Sam is a delight and itʼs a pleasure to go in and just look at the array of lovely bottles. You never feel intimidated and donʼt need to be an expert - that why Samʼs there. Something for every budget. Am a regular, just wish I earned more so I could buy a case every month!

Hi All, Just to let you know I attended a Portugese Wine Tasting at Scatchards on Wednesday of this week, 15/11/07 I think. Evening was absolutely superb.........from Samʼs warm, bubbly & welcoming reception to the depth of knowledge of both vineyard owner (ruiʽ) and esteemed supplier (ʽ) I was amazed. The night introduced me to more wines & ports that I was unaware of but equally impressed by. If looking for good wines, great prices and good converstion call into Scatchards you will be impressed. Having purchased at scatchards on many an occassion I have never been disappointed. Looking forward to my next learning experience there. Thanks Sam.

Visiting Scatchards feel like an enjoyable adventure, Sam always greets you with a smile and heaps of enthusiasm. I enjoy trying new wines and Sam is always very keen to share her expertise and help me chose a wine that I will enjoy. Thank goodness for Scatchards. It is a lovely, friendly shop in the middle of Hoole that supplies so many regular customers with good wine and good advice from cheery, knowledgable staff. If you havenʼt been there you must!

When I need a special bottle to take to a party, i will always make the trip to Scatchards, they never let me down. when i have a party i know they wont let me down. Good choice and advice.
