Run mainly by volunteers, they offer friendship – a social life – and advice to people who are often isolated from the community.

The Epsom & Ewell foodbank is a charity which helps local Epsom people in a time of crisis. Maybe they are very poorly paid and an unexpected expense has caused the problem, maybe they have lost their job, perhaps affected by illness – whatever the reason they need to feed themselves and their family during the crisis. When the new job arrives or longer term benefits are sorted – then they can get on with their lives – but what happens in between? By supplying basic food and toiletries the Epsom & Ewell foodbank can help them – but to do this they need your help – time or funds or food.
When delivering food etc it's a little tricky to find the first time. Once there I was greeted by a friendly volunteer who helped me unpack the boot of my car.
