Qube Arts is a fully accessible creative centre which acts as a forum for ideas, a place to involve everyone,a show space for new art work, a gallery for emerging and established artists and a link to other centres of arts learning and practice.
The Gallery hosts exhibitions of visual art from the local area and national artists.
There are also permanent display cabinets of crafts and jewelry by local skilled artisans.
Qube Arts are actively involved in bringing art to the local community and, through their new initiative, Transport to Arts, are now enabling improved access to arts events for people who may otherwise not be able to attend, by offering a door to door
transport service and to support arts events in becoming more inclusive and accessible.The project is aimed specifically at:-
- Young people aged under 23
- Older people
- People with disabilities
- People who are rurally isolated
Arts events supported by the project can be anything from music, dance, drama, poetry, exhibitions and participatory events.
As well as the Gallery, Qube also house as part of ICT Graphics a multimedia department that runs courses in creative technologies as well as taking on commissions and providing resources for artists and designers.
