Persian cuisine to the North of Birmingham - finally!
We have been looking for a decent Persian restaurant in our neck of the woods for ages, and were were not disappointed. Food was fantastic, flavourful, plentiful, and exciting, and the service was lovely too.
Pricing was also great.

We were checking out the neighborhood and I was craving some Persian food. We recently became vegetarian and thought to give this place a try being a bit hesitant. To our surprise, I had the best Vegan spilt lentil and eggplant stew (gheimeh bademjan) of my life. No need for meat you can get the same experience of childhood amazing homemade stew here 😊😋

Beautiful, authentic food and excellent service. Both the inside and outside dining areas are stylish - we ate outside and service was as prompt as inside, which is rare. Highly recommended.

Food was incredible. I am iranian i have eaten a lot of iranian food in my lifetime and this has to be one of the best. We had shar plater, lamb shank, okra, humus, seasoned fries and rice everything was 10/10. Great value too if you collect as we had 20% off and it was already great value. Cant wait to eat inside when lockdown is finished as it looks lovely, thank you.

Our second visit here and pleasingly just as fantastic. We loved our Persian food, it's incredibly delicious and besutifully presented. We very much appreciated the olives and pomegranates when we were seated. Service was impeccable, lovely staff here. We will be returning and highly recommend Chelo. Particularly nice sitting outside in the late afternoon sunshine. 🌞

Chelo was very welcoming and the waiter was helpful with our food choices as it was our first time. We had a main and a mixture of side dishes which allowed us to try a variety of dishes. Everything was very tasty and the portions were generous, even the chips and salad were elevated by the Persian flavours. I will definitely be going again.

Beautiful lamb kodebah, the chicken wrap was juicy qnd the starter was lovely! I have been back many times for when I'm in the area and would definitely recommend this place if you want decent Lebanese food. Drinks were lovely too.

Absolutely fabulous food, relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff. Food is plentiful. Shared grill is huge - truly a thing of wonder. Nice vegetarian options too - the aubergine and chicken peas was delicious. Reasonably priced as well.
