What is Aberdeen Inspired?
Aberdeen Inspired is the initiative under which the city's Business Improvement District (BID) is run. It's one of a series of BIDS operating across Scotland and aims to make a tangible difference to businesses, residents and visitors.
Local businesses involved with Aberdeen Inspired are working in partnership to collectively invest in their environment, providing improvements in addition to those delivered by the City Council.
Building for a brighter future
The aim of Aberdeen Inspired is not to replace the council or be a substitute for central or local government; it's to invest additional funding in key projects and schemes.
Businesses involved in Aberdeen Inspired speak in unison and are able to shape improvements based on their experience of operating in the city.
The leading lights
Aberdeen Inspired receives funding through a levy system and organisations within the BID contribute to a central pot. The business plan and implementation of projects is managed by the board and executive team, who involve local businesses at every stage.
How can I get involved?
