Aberdeen Winter Festival Events 2010
There are many great events for residents and visitors to Aberdeen during the Winter Festival .
The International Street Market in Union Terrace from 26 – 28 November is very popular (and it is FREE) with festive gifts, delicious foods, crafts, leather and clothing. 9am – 6pm
Christmas Tree Switch On Sunday 28th November at Castlegate 4pm
Aberdeen’s Lord Provost will switch on the city’s Christmas tree kindly donated by the people of Stavanger.
There is festive Weekend Entertainment in Aberdeen’s shopping centres between now and Christmas. There will be festive music and entertainment, a talking Christmas tree, big robin, the Lairy Fairy and much more!
Belmont Street will have Country Fairs on Saturdays 4, 11 and 18 December with local farmers and crafters showing off local produce and crafts. 9am – 5pm.
And don’t forget – it is Panto time!
You can go to Sleeping Beauty at HMT from 4th December – 9th December or Cinderella at the Aberdeen Arts Centre from 4– 26th December (01224 641122 to book both events) both promise to be really great entertainment.
