Top Trumps for Glendronach Whisky
Donald Trump has picked Glendronach distillery, near Huntly to create a limited edition whisky for his championship golf course.
The commemorative 25-year-old malt will be ready for the opening of his golf course and resort at Menie Estate, near Balmedie, next summer.
Mr Trump began talks with several Scottish drinks producers to discuss creating the best whisky available for the course last year.
The whisky was chosen from the thousands of casks maturing at Glendronach’s warehouses at Forgue.
Billy Walker, Managing Director of the Benriach Distillery Company, owners of Glendronach, said the team were "proud" to be involved.
He said: "As an Aberdeenshire distillery, we have close geographical proximity to the Trump development and as such see our whisky as a natural choice to commemorate the opening."
