A new Oxfordshire food start-up is now well underway, having secured more than the required investment and a great deal of community support. Cultivate is a co-operative social enterprise whose members supply the city and surrounding communities (including Abingdon) with locally sourced, sustainably grown fruit and vegetables via a mobile 'VegVan'. The fresh fruit and vegetables are sourced from the co-operative’s five-acre plot at the Earth Trust’s Hill Farm in Little Wittenham, and are complemented with produce from other small-scale ecological producers in the Thames Organic Growers network.
