In this course, we embrace the true essence of "drawing with light," capturing images without the need for a traditional camera. From assembling 3d collages to create unique photograms to constructing your own pinhole camera and developing black-and-white prints in the darkroom.
We’ll step back into the world of analogue photography, using simple materials and creative techniques to craft powerful images.
Whether you're new to photography or looking to expand your artistic skills, this hands-on workshop invites you to explore the magic of image making.
This course will provide you with the knowledge of the following: ● How to create photograms using photographic paper and cyanotype ● How to build your own pinhole camera from a cardboard box ● Push the perception of what a camera should look like, including scale and material. ● How to develop your own black and white prints ● How to make a contact print (positive image) from the initial pinhole photograph ● Participants will take home 15-20 prints.
