On Saturday I did my first public announcement about my involvement with www.project65.net and the run they're organising at Landmark Education. I received a really big round of applause and at the end of the day there was a very nice surprise.
I wasn't pitching for sponsorship money (like I am now) because in this course it's against the rules. After we had finished for the day a woman came up to me and asked me why I was doing it so I mentioned about the need for charity money in supporting ex-service people. She offered me £10. Brilliant! My first one.
