This last half term is for me, the true marker for Summers end, and the start of Autumn. What can be nicer than a good walk in the countryside, then back home for hot chocolate in fron tour the the fire at home?
Well, believe it or not, that's what my two youngest kids say - not me! We go to Newbottle woods between Farthinghoe and Charlton. They're quite small, but lovely and quiet, and this time of year the wood floor is of course thick with fallen leaves, and there is that regular crunch of fallen twigs underfoot en route.
My kids like it there because there is so much to see on the walk, and the walk around it is circular.
Whilst we all love it there, we'd love to know - by way of this blog - if there are any other walks around that are worth going on, especially with kids in mind!
