Chris Smith, the Community campaigner who lives in Chipping Barnet, has formed a new pressure group called Friends of Chipping Barnet High Street (FoCBHS).
Local people, visitors and our own shopkeepers themselves are joining in droves.
Chris says:
"It is time to start a new movement in the fight to save Barnet High Street. The Friends of Barnet Market Committee achieved two great recent successes in keeping the Gaming Centre out and saving Barnet Market.
We have seen the Gaming Centre people off and we must undoubtedly continue to support the Market - however it seems obvious to me that our High Street needs help too, and right now!"
Chris is looking for members. He says
"It is free to join and I will not ask you to do anything outrageous! But if you care about Barnet High Street please sign up."
