Back in 2011 Barnet Council removed all the pay-and-display machines in the borough. Now the council has moved to bring them back.
Residents and traders criticised the council for removing the pay and display machines and making everyone pay for parking in the borough by phone only.
But now the council has brought back 16 machines in North Finchley.
However, they only allow payment by credit or debit card.
