Lots of good things are happening at Barnet market as Chris Smith from the Friends of Barnet Market explains …
The next few weeks will see some very interesting developments in Barnet Market.
Live Music
There will be livev music on a number of Saturdays (but not every Saturday).
Local band, Hokum will be playing rhythm and blues music from around noon on Saturday 26th July. News of the events will appear on the Market newsboard (by the Waitrose entrance to the Market) and on the Barnet Market twitter page. Do come and enjoy the music!
For the Children
With school holidays upon us, the Market operators have arranged for a children's bouncy castle on Wednesdays for a trial period starting 23rd July. It will be operating from approximately 10.00 am until 1.00 pm.
Please pass the word around so that hard-pressed parents and grandparents can let their children bounce their way through part of the summer holidays.
Car Boot Sale
The big news is that car boot sales will be starting on the Market site each Sunday (yes, each Sunday) from August 3rd, 7.00 am until 2.00 pm.
Pitches start from £10.00 (walk on), £12 (cars) and £20 (vans) with further details available from Saunders Markets on 01483 277640. Tables and rails are not provided.
It would be great to see it operating successfully so please tell your family, friends and neighbours about this.
