If you don’t have a Will or if your Will needs updating, you can get yours done this November and help raise money for charity with Will Aid.
Two of the recommended firms of solicitors on the Best of Barnet Borough are taking part in the scheme:
They will write a basic Will for you and won’t charge their normal fee.
Instead they invite you to make a donation to Will Aid - the suggested donation is £95 for a single basic Will and £150 for a pair of “mirror” Wills.
What is Will Aid?
Will Aid is an annual fundraising campaign involving nine of the UK’s leading charities. Since 1988, it has raised over £15 million for good causes helping to support charities who work with the most vulnerable people in the UK and around the world. It has also enabled more than 275,000 people to make their Wills.
The 9 charities supported by Will Aid are ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (Northern Ireland).
Why do I need a Will?
With a properly prepared Will, you can ensure that what you own and what you have saved goes to those you choose.
It is the only way you can be sure that your wishes are carried out and your loved ones provided for after your death.
If you die without a Will, your family may face the distress of resolving legal problems on top of losing a loved one.
How do I make a Will with Will Aid?
