This week is all about recognising what is great about school meals!
There have been massive improvements to school meals over recent years, but there are still some misconceptions made by parents based on their own experience of school meals.
This year caterers will be asked to provide a free school lunch to every pupil in their school who wants one during the week. It is hoped that this will highlight the great things happening in school catering to children who currently use the school meal service and it will encourage those who don't to give it a try.
This year is the 21st anniversary of National School Meals Week!
Not all caterers will be able to support the event due to the costs involved and therefore LACA are looking for funding from the Government and the private sector to help support this worthwhile event.
