Lampard Community School is a special school in Barnstaple.  They look after children aged 5 to 16 from across North Devon.  They have 111 children on roll.

Their vision is to be a centre of excellence for students with complex needs.  Their ethos is: 'The child is at the centre of everything we do and we have to make every second of their education count.  We have aspirations for all our students to lead a happy, healthy and fulfilling life as adults.  We will always work hard to ensure equality of opportunity for all members of the Lampard Community'.

Becoming a governor is really rewarding and they are encouraged to visit school during the working day.  The time commitment over the year is approximately 30-35 hours.

The board of governors play a vital role in developing provision and raising standards throughout the school.

If you have thought about becoming a governor and are enthusiastic about developing young people and the future work force or would like more information then visit a member of staff at the school or contact the school via email on:  admin@lampard.devon.sch.uk.

Help to invest in the future!
