We all know that cycling is great exercise and good for working and toning your whole body. But sometimes the weather can put you off doing that couple of hours and its difficult to stay motivated. So why not consider an indoor cycle ride......one that will take you from John O'Groats to Land's End in less than 4 days?
The Children's Hospice South West are looking for volunteers to help with this epic bike ride that doesn't even leave the county! With 3 excercise bikes set up in the comfort of Green Lanes Shopping Centre from 9am on Thursday 7th March to 5pm on Saturday 9th March, a team of volunteers are needed to fill any of the 72 hours that it will take to cycle the equivalent of 874 road miles.
This event is being organised by the madcap fundraiser for CHSW, Steve Warner and as the organiser of the Mag7 bike rides around the South West, he knows this will take equal amounts of committment from the volunteers for this ride. Says Steve "We know how generous the people of Barnstaple are supporting the Children's Hospice with their fundraising and donations. We'd really love groups of people to commit to giving an hour of their time to be on the bike and have a laugh with friends and shoppers in Green Lanes. We alsways get such support from people for events we hold there"
If you are a keen cyclist, or you'd like to do this bike challenge, either on your own or with a group of friends you can call Steve on 07557 875175 or email him at bramelecca@live.co.uk.
All the money raised will go towards the Children's Hospice, to continue the support of life limited children and their families.
