As an independent shop based in the heart of Barrow on Scott Street for over 20 years, the Bees pride themselves on giving their customers the same experience they have coming into Bumblebee. It’s more than a shop, it’s a home from home, and they strive to help each person who walks through the door find that perfect item in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Stocked to the rafters with beautiful home furnishings, contemporary and vintage furniture, gifts for literally all occasions you can think of and an eclectic range of items to dress your home to your unique style, Bumblebee at the Hive really is a one stop shop to find that perfect gift or item.
In 2020 the shop underwent a fantastic rebranding with the help and work of local artist Hannah Willetts. They now have a beautiful shop front, logo, website (including an online shop) and social media presence that represents Bumblebee perfectly, taking from shop owner Jackie’s love and inspiration of our beautiful town and the wonderful nature we have surrounding us.
And the transformation doesn’t stop there! 2022 saw the opening of The Hive Café, a calm and friendly place to rest your feet, enjoy a coffee, cake, lunch or even a gorgeous evening meal at one of their Bee’stro Evenings.
