Situated in the village of Bouth, near Ulverston the White Hart Inn dates back to the turn of the 17th century. This traditional Lakeland pub also offers 5 excellent en-suite bedrooms and a self-contained cottage.

They are ideally suited for a relaxing and peaceful holiday surrounded by the glorious countryside of the Lake District National Park. Just a 20 minute walk from the White Hart presents magnificent views of the Rusland Valley, Coniston Old Man and surrounding hills and mountains.

The Bar

The well-stocked horseshoe-shaped bar boasts six cask conditioned real ales including Jennings Cumberland at 4% A.B.V. - a local Cumbrian brew from Cockermouth, Black Sheep bitter from Masham in the Yorkshire Dales at 3.8% A.B.V. and Coniston Bluebird from the Ulverston Brewery at 3.6% A.B.V. The three remaining pumps feature changing guest beers from around the UK and has featured more than 200 guest ales over the last two years and offers 35 malts including Balvenie, Cragganmore, Talisker, Lagavulin, Clyneliesh and Glenmorangie.

Our Menus

We also provide an extensive menu that combines some favourite hearty dishes like our own Steak and Guinness Pie and Cumberland Sausage and Mash! Plus, we offer seasonal "specials" including fresh fish and vegetarian dishes that are all produced using local ingredients.
As well as seating for 120 covers we have a function room upstairs which is ideal for private parties and celebrations.
