No trip to Ulverston is complete without visiting Ulverston Markets.
Ulverston Market Hall is home to 20 stalls including a greengrocer, bookstall, sweet shop, clothing, shoes, crafts, collectibles, haberdashery, pet food, deli and local bakers. (You can find a list of all the stalls in the market below)
You're guaranteed a warm welcome and the traders have a wealth of knowledge and experience to help and assist you as you browse the stalls.
The Market Hall is open for business 5 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) 9am - 5pm
There's a real sense of community at the market and it's a great place to catch up with friends and you can enjoy a well deserved cuppa and a bite to eat at the Market Cafe too.
Ulverston's Market Charter was granted in 1280 by Edward 1 and was originally for a Thursday market.
