The season of goodwill is fast approaching, and with that in mind, Barrow Library will hold its Alternative Advent every Monday on the run up to Christmas.
For the next 4 weeks there will be something different happening in the library from sharing hopes and dreams to free book giveaways. It’s certainly different, and as well as some great deals and giveaways it gives you the chance to think of others too.
So what’s on offer?
Week 1: 28th November – Wishing Tree.
For young and old alike, what are your hopes and dreams? Come and place your wish on the wishing tree.
Week 2: 5th December – Christmas Food Bank.
Come into the library, donate an item (or more if you can) to the foodbank and receive a free hot drink in return.
Week 3: 12th December – ROGOF on all DVD’s
The cold nights are drawing in. It’s time to get cosy and snuggle up with a DVD. Today when you rent one you get one free!
Week 4: 19th December – Book Giveaway.
On the last day of Alternative Advent you can visit the Library and choose a surprise book.
