Although not every local pharmacy will be open over the bank holiday, some will be open for a period of time over Easter weekend. We’ve put a list together for you so you can see which ones are available if and when you need them (although we hope you don’t!)
Your local pharmacy can help to treat many minor illnesses and injuries without having to see a Doctor. They also dispense prescriptions and provide a range of services, including confidential ‘on the spot’ help and advice on minor ailments.
You can call NHS 111 for advice at any time and advice for parents is also available on the free NHS child health app. The app has been developed by doctors, health visitors and pharmacists and can be downloaded from Google Play or Apple’s App Store, search for NHS child health.
People are also being asked to make sure that their medicine cabinet and first aid kits are well stocked before Easter arrives and that repeat prescriptions are collected well before the bank holiday weekend.
