The Tour of Britain is coming to Barrow on Friday 7th September 2018.
To help promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle, exercise and to celebrate the Tour of Britain heading to Cumbria this September, Active Cumbria are encouraging everyone to “get on their bikes”.
A healthy body means a healthy mind – keeping fit and exercising regularly helps increase your energy levels and improves your state of mind too as it gives you an overall feeling of happiness.
We all lead busy lives and setting time aside to exercise can be difficult to fit into your daily routine, which is why cycling is so great. It’s one of the easiest forms of exercise to fit into a busy schedule as it’s a great way to get to places, be it for work or leisure activities. It saves you money, helps the environment and helps your fitness levels too – what’s not to like?
Active Cumbria has launched a social media competition to win 2 VIP tickets to The Tour of Britain -Barrow to Whinlatter Stage on Friday 7th September 2018.
So how do you enter?
It’s easy – all you need to do is take a picture of your friends, colleagues, or your family out and about on your bikes (making sure you have permission off all the people in the photo of course) upload it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter – tag @activecumbria and use the hashtag #GetOn YourBike.
There are two categories – with the winners from both receiving 2 VIP Tickets. There’s a general category and a workplace category. The workplace category winner will be someone who’s been cycling to work through a workplace initiative.
So get on your bikes and get involved! Closing date for the competition is 11.59pm on Sunday 26th August.
