Newbarns Children's Centre in Barrow has a wide range of activities planned for February that will give help and support to local families.
Two Activities take place at the centre on Mondays; The Universal School Readiness (Tea & Toast) session takes place from 9am – 10.30am (during term time only) And there is a Post Natal Course (baby days) which is held at 9.30am – 11am
Tuesdays sees a Grandparent Support session take place from 10am – 11.30am, and there is a Childminder Drop held later that day at 1pm – 3pm.
Wednesday is time for Connecting Mums at 9am – 10.30am (you will need to book a place for this event). In the afternoon the Universal 0 to Two (Inbetweenies) session is held between 1pm – 2.30pm.
Short Breaks 5 -8 Years (Lego Group) meets on Wednesdays at Greengate Centre for children with additional needs. This is held from 4.30pm – 6.30pm.
Thursday welcomes the Universal 0-2 (baby explorers) between 10am – 11.30am. And every Thursday afternoon there is Short Breaks 0-4 held at Playmax in The Park Leisure Centre from 1pm – 3pm.
On Friday morning from 10am – 11.30am there is School Readiness (little learners) session at the centre. Health Visitor Sessions are also held on a Friday morning between 9.30am – 11am at Abbots Vale Community Centre in Abbots Vale, Barrow.
The centre would love to see you and your little ones; it offers lots of opportunities to learn more skills and has close links to the school and nursery too.
