Over the years, Ulverston has gained a reputation for being a truly wonderful festival town, and one of the highlights of the festival calendar in recent years has been the incredible extravaganza - Another Fine Fest.
It’s a festival we’ve always looked forward to and one that captures the spirit of what Ulverston is all about. Another Fine Fest is festival of music, comedy, street theatre & art, celebrating Ulverston & the birth of Stan Laurel right in the heart of the town.
Covid and government guidelines meant that last year’s festival was cancelled, and there has been a lot of uncertainty about whether this year’s festivities would be going ahead.
Well, the great news is that the festival will be back for 2021, but this year’s event will be a little bit different.
Not Another Fine Fest will be held at Ford Park on the 20th-22nd August and will incorporate Alfresco Flicks – Movies by Moonlight. It’s going to be a family friendly weekend jam packed with live music, film, comedy, theatre, art and much more.
This will be a ticket only event (so make sure you’ve booked yours) This will ensure that everything can be done and enjoyed in a safe, secure and responsible way. At this moment in time only one stage is planned where acts can perform throughout the weekend, but the hope is that as restrictions are lifted, more stages and areas can be opened up, allowing more people to buy tickets and be part of this amazing two day event.
Not Another Fine Fest is a real community effort and support from sponsors, volunteers, traders, artists, performers and of course from the public is greatly appreciated. You can help be part of this event and make it a huge success by getting in touch and getting involved.
