Friday Lunch Club will take place every third Friday at the Community Development Centre within Ormsgill Primary School. The club has been set up to create an informal support network for people who might be at risk of feeling isolated from their community. It’s there to help people meet with friends and make new ones too.
The club will be run by Age UK and the Friends of Ormsgill School. Sessions are open to everyone over 50 years young. The fun starts at 11.30am with a light exercise session along with children at Ormsgill Primary. Lunch will then be served at 12.15pm (if you have any dietary requirements you’ll need to advise the team when you book your place). Following lunch the children will then share their pictures, stories, school work and performances.
If you’d like to be part of this group the next sessions will take place on:
20th April
18th May
15th June
Don’t worry if you think you’d struggle to get there, transport, in the form of a free bus service is available to and from the school.
Booking for these sessions is essential. To book your place, please call Barrow and District Age UK on 01229 831425
