What Is the Walk to Remember?

The Walk to Remember is a 10-mile twilight walk that winds through the picturesque streets from Ulverston to Barrow, all while supporting St. Mary’s Hospice. As the sun sets and the stars begin to shine, walkers come together to celebrate life, honor loved ones, and make a positive impact in our community.

This event is more than just a walk; it’s a journey filled with meaning. This year’s Walk to Remember will be held on Friday 6th September, starting from the heart of Ulverston and finishing at Furness Academy in Barrow. Along the way, you’ll experience the breathtaking beauty of the Cumbrian countryside, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow walkers, and be part of an event that brings together people from all walks of life.
