Let’s be honest – it wouldn’t be Christmas without A Christmas Carol would it?
Generations have enjoyed reading the classic tale by Charles Dickens, settled down to watch TV adaptations, animations, plays and various big screen productions. Even The Muppets have filmed a version of the story!
It’s simply one of the most popular and enduring Christmas stories of all time!
This year the magnificent Ulverston Outsiders will be performing a new production of A Christmas Carol at The Coronation Hall. This new production by Patrick Barlow takes the heart and essence of the story and adds a comedic twist to the events that unfold.
Multiple parts will be played by a few actors but rest assured – all your favourite characters that you know, and love are present – Scrooge, Marley, and of course the ghosts!!
This performance has been a long time coming. The Outsiders had originally hoped to perform this production back in November 2020, so they are absolutely delighted to be bringing it to the stage at long last.
The Outsiders have assembled a really talented cast to bring this production to life. They will be under the direction of Tony Smith , a long standing member of The Outsiders. Tony’s most recent production was The 39 Steps (We went along to opening night – and it was incredible!)
A Christmas Carol runs from Tuesday 22nd – Friday 25th November at The Coro
Doors open at 6.45pm, shows start at 7.30pm. There will also be a 20 minute interval.
