The UVHS Wind Band (Conducted by Richard Butler The Head Of Music At UVHS) has played internationally, 2007 playing at Prague, 2010 in Salzburg and in 2011 The Black Forest, Germany. The UVHS Wind Band are touring to Lake Garda, Italy in 2013.
The world famous Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines (Scotland) make a welcomed return to the Coronation Hall to continue their unique link with the ‘outstanding’ UVHS Music Department. They will yet again take to the stage alongside the 80 immensely talented students that make up the internationally renowned UVHS Wind Band to present a concert of amazing music guaranteed to entertain and amaze!
2 x 30 minute sets from each band followed by a massed band spectacular, where the top 25-30 musicians from UVHS join the Marines for several blistering show-stoppers culminating in the traditional proms-style Royal Navy finale.
This promises to be a great night out as always and there are only a few tickets left.
