Join us on Halloween night for a spooky stroll into Ulverston’s candlelit woods.

Hundreds of candles and fiery-flares will cast their glow on the flickering, frothy waters of the beck by night.

Book tickets here!

Strange shimmering sights will be looming out of the dark as we dive down for inspiration this year for our 2024 theme, The Deep. 🐙

Hold your breath for swarms of sparkling jellyfish, glowing fish in trees and bubbles, lots of bubbles. 🐟

A tentacular catch will also feature in our fire-lit shadowscreens & installations by artists Tracey Escolme, Ellie Chaney, Nat Tyson, Hannah Clarke, Lindsay Ward & Jennie Dennett. 🐙

🧜‍John Hall will be performing as a beautiful Siren, beware his call atop his dark rock.

🌊 There’ll be dancing on the beck animated by the light of the ocean.

🕸️ And Song Birds ‘Feel Good Singers’ aka “The Creepy Choir” are back with chilling tunes to entertain us to celebrate Halloween on The Cumbria Way in what has become ‘the traditional way’ as the Candlelit Walk lights-up the night for its 14th year.

So join us once again for this magical stroll full of strange and enchanting sights.

Choose the best start time to suit your crew & the performances you want to catch (twenty minute slots from 5.45pm – 8.05pm) and get yourself a ticket for £1.75 per person to help us cover costs for our volunteer-run event.

The ticketing helps us manage numbers on the path and keep it safe amidst the fiery features. So help us out, get a ticket and get yourself to the candles at the allotted time.

The dancing will happen close to the start time of each slot near the start of the walk and our Siren can call at any time, watch out!

The choir will perform in our Gazebo at the start/finish of the circular walk at 6pm and 7pm.

All ages welcome, the spook level is mild. If you don’t mind mud on your wheels the path is fine for prams and intrepid wheelchair users. Note that it is PROPER DARK up The Gill! If you or your little ones are less-keen on darkness, come for the dusk-slot at 5.45pm. The walk takes about 20 minutes.
