November’s drawing in but here at The Coro it’s summer all over again! Mendelssohn’s heart turned somersaults when he arrived in the sunshine of Italy, but today his Italian symphony is just the starting point. Karel Deseure conducts Ravel’s dreamy Spanish fantasy, Poulenc’s witty Sinfonietta, and Mozart’s ebullient Oboe Concerto – with the Orchestra’s very own Helena Mackie in the spotlight. It’s music that practically dances for joy
