Very good food in the cafe run with love and care by local volunteers. Beautiful gardens below monument with stunning views of the Lakes.

After coming down from the Hoad, the kids wanted to play on the Zip wire, unfortunately it had been disable.
However we enjoyed our picnic from the hike and the kids enjoyed the rest of the rides in the park

my friend and I met up in Ulverston for a dog friendly break and have been very impressed. Ford Park was just 15 minutes walk away and we had a lovely morning there. there was plenty to explore and the café is excellent - with a dog friendly bit inside. it is at the foothill of The Hoad Monument, so this walk could be added if you wanted-my friend did this whilst I explored the kitchen garden.

It is in two parts, the park area for children and a community garden, both of which are several hundred yards apart. We visited the gardens which are located opposite the Coach House Café and Bistro..... You can't miss it! There is a mural on the wall outside, inside the gardens there are things of interest for both adults and children to look at. If your lucky you can buy fresh vegetables that have been grown in the gardens.
Well worth a visit and it's free!

Gardens and cafe to visit and the volunteers who help to run the cafe are great. The cafe as a dog friendly area and the food is good especially if you have climbed the Hoad as we had done. We only had light snacks and delicious coffee and enjoyed being there for our first time, our daughter told us about this place and have put it on our list to visit in summer.

Great little cafe, love sitting on the terrace under the Hoad when the sun's out. Sandwiches come with a tasty salad and couscous and the Eggs Benedict is a favourite of mine!

Stopped in here after a walk up to the Hoad, which has some great views over the local area. Cafe area is bright and clean, but what sets this place aside was the quality of the food. The cream tea was superb, and as a regular walker in Devon and Cornwall I know what I am talking about. I can definitely recommend this place for those in need of an invigorating lunch. There is also a nice garden, to walk off your indulgence, and an adventure playground a short walk away so the children can do the same - enjoy.

Parked here to walk up Hoad Hill, which was great. Stopped at the cafe for coffee and cake. Between us we had a scone, flapjack and millionaire shortbread - all were huge! Cafe was clean and welcoming and a lovely place to relax.

Great place to eat out with friends for lunch, plus they do themed nights and these too are great fun. Lovely to walk around the garden and buy plants
