There was plenty of Bank Holiday fun to be had at Basingstoke shopping centre, Festival Place, this weekend as they invited shoppers to meet children’s favourite, the Twirlywoos.
Great BigHoo and Toodloo from the popular CBeebies TV show made a special visit to the centre, giving little ones the chance to meet the famous characters in person.
The event came as part of a packed diary of activities at Festival Place, including workshops and family events, all designed to keep the kids entertained throughout the holidays.
Now, as the summer draws to an end, the centre is getting set for a busy autumn of events, including a range of activities for this year’s Green Week. Back for a fourth year, the week celebrates all that is green with a variety of events and activities from Saturday 17th September to Sunday 25th September.
This year will see Festival Place supporting the week with a host of environmentally friendly fun, including a lighting event on Tuesday 20th September and Wednesday 21st September from 10am – 6pm.
Shining a light on energy and cost efficient lighting solutions, experts will be in Festival Place displaying their industry-leading products and how best to introduce these into everyday life.
