This weekend saw crowds gather at Festival Place for their annual food event, Eat Street.
Back for a fourth year, the event featured an array of food entertainment, including special guest Nadiya Hussain. Throughout the weekend, customers were given an insight into the former Great British Bake Off winner’s cooking knowledge, as she demonstrated how she makes some her favourite dishes and signed copies of her new cookbook, Nadiya’s Kitchen, set for release on 18th June.
There were tasting stations from Festival Place’s wide range of restaurants and cafes, with samples from the Marks and Spencer Patrons’ Lunch menu, delicious Yaki Soba noodles from Wagamama, as well as amazing gluten free dough balls from Pizza Express.
The weekend also saw visits from fun food stilt act, ‘Hungry Chefs’ and the Nando’s and Giraffe mascots, who were walking around the crowds and joining in the food activities.
Festival Place centre Director, Steven Connolly said: “We were thrilled to bring Eat Street back for a fourth year and we couldn’t be happier with the feedback from the customers and retailers alike. It was great to have the wonderful Nadiya involved as well as so many of our retailers.”
Festival Place is now busy preparing for their exciting programme of summer activities. Kicking off on the 21st July, with the return of their famous summer garden, the events will feature a variety of family friendly fun with meet and greets from some of the most popular children’s TV characters.
