BMI BATH CLINIC GETS EXCELLENT SCORES FOR PATIENT SATISFACTION
BMI Bath Clinic on Claverton Down Road has been awarded an overall satisfaction score of 98% per cent by its patients for delivering excellent medical care and customer service.
According to an independent survey conducted by market research firm Howard Warwick Associates, during the period January 1st to December 31st 2010 the Bath Clinic received 911 completed patient questionnaires. Of those patients responding, 98% rated their overall quality of care as good, very good or excellent.
The survey measured patient satisfaction across a broad range of criteria including patients’ overall impression of admission, nursing, consultant care, imaging (X-ray) anaesthetists, theatre staff, accommodation and whether patients they were treated with respect and dignity.
Founded in 1982, Bath Clinic employs approximately 220 of staff and work with 140 of consultants. Its major specialties are Oncology, Cardiology, Care of the elderly, Cosmetic surgery, ENT surgery, Gastroenterology, General surgery, Gynaecology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic surgery, Paediatric medicine, Urology and Physiotherapy.
Richard Foulkes, Executive Director at Bath Clinic, comments: “All our staff are dedicated to providing the best possible patient care and patients are particularly appreciative of their efforts. We are very proud of our hospital and work hard to make each patient’s time with us as pleasant as possible. Our patient survey is an important indicator of how well we achieve this and we monitor the results very closely.”
A recent patient at Bath Clinic, John Clayton from Melksham, Wiltshire, visited the hospital in January 2011 said: “The service I received cannot be praised too highly and my Consultant, Mr. Mike Katsimihas, is right at the top of that list. Not only is he an incredibly skillful surgeon, he also instilled faith and confidence in his abilities form our very first meeting.”

I think the pre-operative work at Bath Clinic is excellent, giving a patient the right kind of preparation for a stay in hospital.”
