Team V Bath are planning their final campaign on transforming unloved community spaces situated around Bath.
The chosen location for this project is Weston Community Centre garden, situated near the RUH. The garden is in desperate need of being tidied and cleared to make way for their plans of growing vegetables to help benefit the community.
The aim behind this project is to help encourage young children to get involved in helping to clear and plant in the Weston Community garden. Once the garden has been cleared, an educational event will be taking place at the garden encouraging the children to get involved and promote learning.
The garden design will be based on the Bath in Bloom garden, the process of the event will also be well documented for anyone interested in following the stages and progress of the project.
Dates to Remember:
20th – 21st April 2013 – The clear up of the garden
5th May – Planting and educational event for the children and local community
This campaign is currently underway but Helen still wants young people to get on board! Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people while bringing about change in their local area.
