The Deal
For £35, take part in a fun, unique experience this summer with a 2-hour archery or 3-hour falconry session, including plenty of one-to-one tuition and handling, followed by an outdoor barbeque lunch and a glass of champagne to celebrate your new-found skills. This memorable day out usually costs £94!
Suitable for beginners of any age, this offer includes a 2- or 3-hour session and lunch on select weekend dates at Hillmott's Retreat near Beaconsfield, Bucks. Choose from the following:
Archery:
Qualified instructors will give you personal tuition, when you will learn to hit targets about 12 yards away. You can then move on to fun challenges with the rest of the group. These might include "splitting the wand" (where you have to try and hit a narrow stick, William Tell-style) and "clout", where you and your team will recreate the rain of arrows that struck fear into medieval armies, by shooting arrows high into the air in order to hit targets as far away as possible.
OR
Falconry:
Get hands-on during a one-to-one session handling and flying these powerful birds, followed by an awesome one-hour professional display and a photo shoot with a chance to get pictures of you handling the birds.
The events take place around a converted barn and courtyard, where you will tuck into a fabulous outdoor BBQ and a glass of champagne.
