BEDFORD RUBGY NEWS - National Colts Cup Match Bedford Athletic RFC v Dinnington (Yorkshire)
No I’ve never heard of Dinnington either.... but Bedford Athletic Colts are on the verge of an historic achievement. An outstanding victory over Burton, last season's Plate Finalists, has put the team in the last 16 of the National Colts Cup, THIS IS THE FURTHEST ANY CLUB SIDE HAS EVER PROGRESSED IN THIS COMPETITION! and it is a truly outstanding achievement for a Bedford team which is worthy of the whole towns support!
So come on Bedford! let’s really get behind the Ath’ Colts and support them 100% as they charge through to the next round of the National Colts Cup. And all you Blues supporters who can’t make the away game at London Welsh that weekend why not come along and support the ‘Bedford Blacks’ instead.
The match will be played at the Bedford Athletic RFC ground on Wentworth Drive on the 13th February. KO at 2.15pm.
A couple of extra points about this very special occasion.
1. There will be no charge for entrance to this match!
2. The club is inviting a local company, sponsor or supporter the opportunity to sponsor this historic match. For £250 the sponsor will get their logo on and a write up in the match-day programme and lunch for ten before the match.
3. Alternatively anyone can join in the atmosphere by booking for a pre-match 3 course lunch at £15 per head.
4. Or just turn up and have a few beers and enjoy the match!
