The other day as I was driving along the A421 by the Asda warehouse, I noticed that part of the new bypass is open. Brilliant! I have been told by friends who live in Great Denham, that the new road is cutting their journey time to the A6 by 10 minutes, which they think is great. Now I just need to try it myself - I can hardly wait.
I remember when the A428 bypass was opened on the other side of town just how the traffic reduced on the neighbouring roads, which made life safer, and quieter in Great Barford and Roxton. I hope that the A421 bypass will have a similar effect on the local residents, making our town an even nicer place to live.
Now we just have to wait for the dual carriageway to be completed from Marsh Leys to the M1 junction, which will reduce the congestion even further, particularly in Brogborough and Marston Moretaine, and speed through-traffic away from our town.
