Birmingham`s Chinese community has come together to organise a charity fundraiser to support the people of Wuhan afflicted by the deadly virus.  The event is headed by Tom Li of the Overseas Chinese Association and assisted by Wendy Choi and James B Wong.

"Can you or your company be of assistance?" said James.  "The event will be held on Monday 10th February 6.30pm at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre where many VIPs will be in attendance. Details to follow but we're trying to get a top official from the Chinese Embassy to attend.

Tables of 10 at £600 or £70 per person. There will be live entertainment, cultural dances, raffle & auction and education on the virus.

"Please message back if you can help. We're also looking for donations, auction/raffle prizes... even medical supplies to be sent back to China!" explained James.  "So far, we have in excess of £15000 in donations from the Chinese community... we hope to raise £50000".

The Chung Ying Restaurant will be providing the food for free and Birmingham Conference & Events Centre has very kindly waivered the room hire

"Come Birmingham, please show us what big heart you have and send a positive message back to the people in China" said James.  "Wuhan... Jiayou!"
