The doors to the captivating Holden Room will swing open at 7 pm on Tuesday 29th August, beckoning guests to the charming Cosy Club. Kezzabelle's past performance dalliances in Birmingham include 'PoArtry' at the Newhampton Art Centre alongside artists & poets ; curating and hosting 'Poets Belong at Tower of Song' ; performing at Birmingham Comedy Fest and performing at The Cherry Club with an international line up of poets.
Through her ‘Permission To Love Yourself' book tour, Kezzabelle's mission is to touch lives, to bless, uplift, and encourage whoever crosses her path. Her live performances alongside her Weaving Words creative writing workshops impact many different communities bringing love and joy as she travels to Art Galleries, Wellbeing Centres, mental health wards, retreats, festivals and a variety of venues. She knows that the pen can become a tool for life, and sees this every week in acute psychiatric wards in Northamptonshire.
Before the main Cosy Club event, attendees will have the chance to immerse themselves in the creativity of local artists whose works will be on display. The evening's ambiance is further enhanced with an option to indulge in pre-show drinks. For those seeking an elevated culinary experience, assorted pre-ordered canapés are available for an additional £20 per head.
The evening kicks off at 7.30 pm with the uproarious talents of West Midlands' very own comedy stand-up poet, Rick Sanders, widely recognized as 'Willis the Poet.' His performance promises to set the tone for an evening that transcends the boundaries of the spoken word. As the anticipation builds, Kezzabelle steps onto the stage with her performance, derived from her latest poetry collection, is a feast of emotions, inviting attendees on a journey of self-discovery and exploration.
