Ahead of National Cat Day on Saturday 29 October, regional treasure Doreen Tipton undertook some purrfect research when she paid a visit to The West Midlands Cat Clinic. This year Doreen will take on the role of Dick Whittington’s trusty sidekick Doreen the Cat, marking her third Hippodrome pantomime.
Accompanied by her cat Luna, Doreen met with Vet Hamish Duncan who was on hand to give pawsome advice on how to purrfect her character and get her feline ready to grace the Hippodrome stage.
The UK’s biggest regional panto will feature sets and costumes from The London Palladium and tells the story of Dick Whittington and his trusty cat as he seeks fame, fortune, and happiness journeying to become the Lord Mayor.
Dick Whittington will run at Birmingham Hippodrome from Saturday 17 December 2022 until Sunday 29 January 2023.
