Faye has been a member of the Advance team for almost 20 years.
The group say her leadership skills, deep expertise, and passion for service made her the natural choice for the pivotal role.
Faye said: “I am honoured to step into the role of General Manager at Advance Credit Union. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the profound positive impact we have on our members’ financial resilience and overall well-being.
“Our team is committed to listening to the needs of our members and empowering them to build a secure financial future. As General Manager, I look forward to working with our board, team and members to continue making a tangible difference in the lives of the people and communities we serve.”
Faye will lead a team of 10 staff, supported by a voluntary and professional board of directors.
Faye’s appointment comes at a crucial time as Advance strengthens its commitment to combating financial exclusion and supporting thousands of individuals and families in building financial security.
The Birmingham group says the promotion demonstrates an unwavering commitment to improving the financial well-being of members.
Helen Torresi, chair of the board, added: “We are delighted to have Faye step into the role of General Manager. Together, we share a vision of ensuring everyone has access to fair, affordable credit and financial opportunities and we look forward to working with her to drive this forward.”
