"Due to the fast changing business environment in recent years the Birmingham Chinese Society has adapted an innovative way of providing business support to the wider community" said Ken Tong, Chairman (pictured with Irene Chu).  "By working in partnership with colleges and universities in China and the UK the Society has successfully brought 20 students to South and City College in Birmingham for 2 weeks English Summer Camp and 12 children from Hainan in China in July 2019 to experience cultural activities in Reading.  The feedback from the students was fantastic and they have learnt something new about British culture.  The Society is always open-minded to work with partners in different sectors.  The aim is supporting business or individuals to become adaptable to the changing business environment."

The Birmingham Chinese Society are also bringing a food safety training platform to the food catering, manufacturing and retail sectors with Level 2 (foundation) and Level 3 (Intermediate) with delegates attending Birmingham from all over the UK.

Apart from food safety they also provide a personal licensing course for the catering, pub and hotel industry.  They are the pioneers in the wine licensing courses in the Chinese catering sector.  They support and help businesses to set up their own catering business starting from scratch and working closely with relevant statutory organisations and partners.  "The Society is also providing e-learning to  businesses and individuals" explained Ken Tong "and at the moment we have students from 4 different countries with different nationalities and many delegates from different cities in the UK.

The aim is to help and support businesses and individuals learning new skills to earn extra income with the change of innovation.  All of our staff learn new technological skills to serve the wider community.  E-learning will be the next phase in the training world.  Our staff is developing themselves to catch up with the fast-changing environment.  We are highly appreciative to work with partners globally to provide a high quality service to change our lives with technology.

Despite the age groups, nationalities or ethnic backgrounds, we work together as a big community in the world. "
