The Gruffalo has captivated many children and is regarded as a classic. This summer many more children will be able to enter the wonderful world of the Gruffalo, The Troll and Room on a Broom as a new exhibition opens. “A Squash and a Squeeze - Sharing stories with Julia Donaldson” is opening in Birmingham this weekend.
Starting 20th July and continuing until 3rd November, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery will be showcasing Julia Donaldson’s work. Visitors will be able to enjoy multi sensory experiences of the stories, see original artwork by Donaldson’s illustrators, including her most famous, Axel Scheffler. Visitors will also see how characters such as the Gruffalo’s Child was developed.
