The Ivy Temple Row is partnering with the prestigious Birmingham Royal Ballet to offer an exclusive brunch and performance package for festive family favourite, The Nutcracker, at Birmingham Hippodrome on Sunday, 24 November.
From 10am, guests will head through a specially designed Nutcracker-inspired entrance at the city centre brasserie, to enjoy an Ivy Collection brunch before making their way to Birmingham’s biggest theatre to watch a matinee performance of the iconic ballet at 1pm.
Designed for adults and children alike, diners will be able to choose from a selection of The Ivy Temple Row’s brunch classics, such as Eggs Benedict, salmon and smoked haddock fishcakes and hot buttermilk pancakes, as well as an array of drinks.
The Nutcracker returns to the second city for its 19th consecutive season, and is established as a festive tradition for families across the Midlands. Telling the story of Clara as she is swept away into an enchanted winter wonderland of dancing snowflakes and a Sugar Plum Fairy, The Ivy Temple Row x Nutcracker brunch is the perfect way to start the Christmas festivities.
Tickets are priced at £85 and will include a juice, tea or coffee, one brunch dish and a ticket to see The Nutcracker at Birmingham Hippodrome.
Kate Howells, Head of Marketing at Birmingham Royal Ballet, said: “We’re very excited to be collaborating with The Ivy Temple Row to offer something special for friends and families this Christmas.”
“The Nutcracker is a ballet for all generations, and heading to the Hippodrome to see the performance is a tradition for so many. We want visitors to turn their experience into a day out by having a delicious brunch in one the city’s top restaurants, before joining us for festive magic.”
Liz Burton, General Manager of The Ivy Temple Row, said: “Christmas is a wonderful time of year at The Ivy Temple Row, and we’re bringing the restaurant to life with a whole host of activity with Birmingham Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker. From our special brunch collaboration to our Christmas decorations, we’re looking forward to celebrating our second Christmas in Birmingham.”
In further celebration, a limited-edition ‘Sugar Plum Fairy’ festive cocktail – featuring Umeshu plum sake, Chambord, winter gomme & plum bitters – will also be available for guests to enjoy from Friday, 15 November.
Tickets for the brunch and performance package on Sunday, 24 November can be purchased here. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased per booking.
