The bootcamps are tailored specifically for employed learners who want to understand the powerful intersection between technology, sustainability, and business.

The 12-week, part-time programme is essential for businesses looking to protect their organisations from ‘greenwashing’ (policies that aren’t reflected in green practice) and are designed to empower businesses with the knowledge and tools to critically analyse the environmental impact of digital technologies and implement sustainable solutions within their organisations.

Participants will gain valuable insights into:

  • The environmental implications of digital technologies.
  • Strategies to integrate sustainability into business processes.
  • Practical frameworks for improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprints through digital innovation.

The bootcamp offers a unique opportunity to develop future-ready skills in Birmingham’s ever-growing business ecosystem.

Cohorts will start in October and January.

Sarah Buxton, employer engagement manager at Althaus Digital said: “We are thrilled to bring this groundbreaking programme to the region, empowering Birmingham and West Midlands businesses to integrate sustainability into their digital practices.

“With the backing of WMCA funding, we are offering an exceptional opportunity for organisations to gain future-ready skills and drive meaningful, sustainable change.

“By joining the Sustainability in Technology Professional Skills Bootcamp, companies will be better equipped to not only reduce their environmental impact but also stay competitive in an increasingly eco-conscious market.”
