Speakers already announced include keynote speaker Dr Izzy Moore, Dr Jenny Burbage and Leila Benyahia.
Dr Moore is a Reader in Human Movement and Sports Medicine at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Following her PhD focused on the biomechanics and physiology of female runners, Dr Moore completed post-doctoral research undertaking sports health epidemiology for several governing bodies to inform injury prevention and management policies.
Dr Moore’s current research focuses on female athlete health, sports injury epidemiology and lower limb rehabilitation.
Dr Jenny Burbage is a senior lecturer in biomechanics and part of the Research Group in Breast Health within the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth.
Her research focuses on biomechanics, health and education related to the female breast, and she is one of the few world experts in this area.
Leila Benyahia is a PhD student and associate lecturer at Northumbria University whose research focuses on development in girls’ football, reflecting her passion for advancing female athletes in sport.
Her extensive experience includes working as the lead strength and conditioning coach for elite athletes including Great Britain Basketball.

SPARC will be the largest conference of its kind anywhere in the UK this year focused on women’s health. The conference will feature sessions focusing on the key pillars of women’s health in sport and exercise, including:

• Menstrual health
• Menopause
• Injury prevention and management
• Sports coaching
This conference is ideal for professionals with an interest in sport, exercise, and human performance, such as professionals working in sports medicine, coaching/training, rehabilitation, nutrition, as well as students. The conference also welcomes anyone else with an interest in sport and exercise to this event.
